Flash Bash is an old-school fighting game that brings together a diverse cast of fighters from the Godlimations universe, each with their unique style and moves. Set in various streetfighter and Tekken-like environments, it offers a fun and energetic battleground for players who love fast-paced combat.

Your role is to pick a fighter and master their moves and combos. You'll engage in fierce battles, aiming to outsmart and overpower your opponents. Whether you're playing against the computer or challenging a friend, your goal is to come out on top in these high-energy fights.

How to Play

Let's start with the controls for each character. Here's all you need to know:

Player 1
- A/D: Move left and right
- W: Jump
- S: Crouch
- J: Punch
- K: Kick

Player 2
- Left/Right arrow keys: Move left and right
- Up arrow key: Jump
- Down arrow key: Crouch
- ALT: Punch
- CTRL: Kick

The game also allows you to customize these keys to your liking, ensuring everyone can play comfortably.

During the fights, your goal is to deplete your opponent's life bar while maintaining your own. Each match is typically set for three rounds, and the winner is the one who wins two out of these three rounds.

There's also a countdown timer for each round, which you'll need to pay attention to. If the time runs out, the fighter with more life left wins the round.

You can also customize various aspects of the game, like the number of rounds per match, the countdown timer for each round, or the difficulty level in Arcade mode. This allows you to tailor the game to your liking.

Game Modes

The game offers various modes. Let's break them down:

Quick Arcade: You'll engage in a series of fights against increasingly challenging opponents, each battle testing your skills a bit more. This mode is great for getting a feel of the game's pace and for understanding the basic mechanics of fighting.

Challenge: This mode takes your skills further, focusing on learning and mastering over 100 different combos. Here, you can really get to grips with what each character can do and how to best use their special moves in a fight. This mode is ideal for players who want to deepen their understanding of the game and become more proficient in battles.

Practice: This mode is perfect for those who are new or want to practice specific techniques. Here, you'll fight against a dummy fighter, which allows you to experiment with different moves and combos without the pressure of a real fight. It's a great way to refine your skills and try out new tactics. Additionally, there are shortcut keys in this mode that make your dummy opponent perform certain actions, like walking toward you or blocking, adding more depth to your practice sessions.

2 Player Mode: Finally, here's where you can challenge a friend for a local fight on the same computer. This mode is all about competing with another player in real time, testing both your skills and theirs in a friendly yet competitive setting.

What else you should know

Practice is key. Spend time in Practice mode to get comfortable with your chosen fighter's moves and combos. Pay attention to the timing and sequence of key presses for special moves. Also, learning to anticipate your opponent's moves can give you an edge in battles.

One last thing: in 2 Player mode, keep in mind that the game uses lots of buttons - up to 12! Sometimes, a regular keyboard can't handle more than 6 buttons at the same time. This problem is called 'keyboard ghosting.' To fix this, it's a good idea to use an extra device like a game controller or an arcade stick for the second player. This way, both players can have fun and play the game without any trouble with the controls.

Flash Bash is a great choice for anyone who loves action-packed fighting games. Whether you're practicing your moves solo or challenging a friend, you'll have tons of fun. So, if you're ready to test your fighting skills and enjoy some competitive action, jump into the game and see if you can become the ultimate fighter!
