Let's start with the recipe!

Ingredients
- 250g of minced lean beef
- 60 ml of olive oil
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 carrots, finely diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 celery stalks, finely diced
- 400 g tin of crushed tomatoes
- 200 g of tomato purée
- 120 ml of red wine
- 1 teaspoon (tsp) of oregano
- 2 tablespoons (Tbsp) of parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper
- 500 g of spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon (Tbsp) of olive oil (for spaghetti water)

Making the Bolognese Sauce:

1. Place a pan on the stove over medium heat. Once it's warm, add the 60 ml of olive oil and the chopped bacon bits. Stir well and fry for 8 to 10 minutes until the bacon starts to crisp and brown.

2. Remove the cooked bacon from the pan (but keep the oil in the pan). Add the minced beef and stir, breaking up the meat to help it brown. Allow it to cook for a few minutes until it is thoroughly cooked.

3. Add the finely chopped onion, finely diced carrots, finely diced celery, and minced garlic to the pan with the meat. Mix well and let it all cook for a few more minutes, stirring sometimes.

4. Add the tomato puree, red wine, and crushed tomatoes to the pan. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together well and cook for 5 minutes.

Cooking the Spaghetti:

5. Get a separate pan and fill it with water. Season the water with salt and bring it to a boil. Once the water is fully boiling, add the spaghetti. Gently push it down into the water, add the 1 tablespoon of olive oil, stir it, and cook for 7 to 10 minutes.

6. Drain the spaghetti when it's cooked and place it onto a serving plate.

Assembling and Serving:

7. Pour the rich meat sauce (bolognese) over the spaghetti on the serving plate. Garnish your plate with the chopped parsley. Serve hot!

Serving up a homemade pasta dish is a fantastic accomplishment! Enjoy the rich flavors of savory meat and tangy tomatoes perfectly blended. Get ready to twirl your fork into a delicious meal!
