About Operate Now: Knee Surgery Game
Ever wanted to be a doctor? In Operate Now: Knee Surgery, you get to step into a busy hospital and see what it's like to help people! You'll meet Steve, who had a skateboarding accident and really hurt his knee. It's your big chance to be a hero and help him feel better.
Your main job in this game is to be the knee surgeon. You'll need to check Steve's knee, figure out what's wrong, and then do a special operation to fix it. Your goal is to make sure Steve can get back to having fun and feeling great!
How to Play
You'll need your mouse to click on different tools and move them around. For example, you'll click on a tool like a scalpel and then click where you want to use it on Steve's knee. Just follow the steps, and you'll be a great doctor in no time!
First, you need to find out what's wrong with Steve's knee. He's in a lot of pain, so you'll take him for an X-ray. You'll need to find the X-ray machine and make sure the camera is in the right spot to see his knee clearly. The X-ray will show you that a part of his knee, called the meniscus, is hurt.
Getting Ready for Surgery
Once you know what's wrong, it's time to get Steve ready for surgery! You'll move him to the operating room. Before the surgery, you'll gently clean the hair around his knee with shaving cream and a razor. Then, you'll use special tools and a blue liquid to make the area super clean and safe from germs. Last, you'll give Steve some special medicine with a needle to make his knee numb so he won't feel anything during the operation.
Performing the Operation
Now, for the exciting part – the surgery! You'll use a tiny, sharp tool called a scalpel to make small cuts. You'll then put in a tiny tube to help clean the area. Next, you'll put a special camera, called an arthroscope, inside one of the cuts. This lets you see inside Steve's knee on a screen! You'll use tiny scissors to cut out the torn part of the meniscus. After that, you'll use a small grabbing tool to take out the pieces you cut and then a smoothing tool to make everything neat inside. When you're done, you'll take all your tools out.
Finally, it's time to help Steve heal. You'll use a needle and thread to carefully sew up the small cuts you made. Then, you'll put on some sticky strips to help the cuts heal. The very last step is to wrap Steve's knee in a big, soft bandage. You did it, doctor!
Practice Makes Perfect
If you're just starting, you can only play in Intern Mode. A friendly helper named Lara will guide you through every step, telling you exactly what to do. Once you're a super knee doctor, you can try Specialist Mode. This mode is harder because Lara won't give you hints, but you'll get double the points for being so good!
